ja, die Steuerung von Overclocked ist (im Gegensatz zu TMOS) jetzt mal wirklich smoooth und funktional. Wir haben bei TMOS sehr, sehr viel Kritik f�r die Steuerung einstecken m�ssen, deswegen war das eine der ersten Verbesserungen, die wir implementiert haben.

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

f�r all jene, die (noch) nicht wissen, wer oder was House of Tales ist, hier ein kurzer Vorstellungsthread.

House of Tales gibt es schon seit 1996. Zwei Jahre sp�ter, genauer gesagt 1998 begann die Entwicklungsarbeit an dem Adventure-Spiel "Das Geheimnis der Druiden", welches 2001 auf den Markt kam. Auf der Games Convention 2002 wurde dann "The Moment of Silence" angek�ndigt, welches Ende 2004 erschien und mehrfach hoch dekoriert wurde. Zwischenzeitlich kooperierte House of Tales (inzwischen GmbH geworden) mit dem Handyspiele-Spezialisten Elkware (heute: infospace) und entwickelte als erstes Unternehmen weltweit Abenteuerspiele f�r Java-f�hige Mobiltelefone. Zwischen 2003 und 2004 entstanden so vier erfolgreiche Spiele, u.a. f�r die X-Files-Lizenz.

Derzeit arbeitet House of Tales an dem Adventure-Titel "OVERCLOCKED", der n�chstes Jahr im zweiten Quartal bei dem dtp-Label Anaconda erscheinen wird.

Hier und heute wollen wir Euch Rede und Antwort (soweit wir das k�nnen und d�rfen ) stehen, wer also Fragen hat: immer her damit.

Hi everybody,

for all of you who no idea (yet) who or what House of Tales is, here is a short introduction:

Founded in 1996 House of Tales started developing Adventure Games in 1998. "The Mystery of the Druids" hit shelves in 2001. Followed by "The Moment of Silence" which was announced in 2002 at Leipzig�s Games Convention and was finally published in 2004. In 2003 House of Tales did not become only a GmbH (limited liability company in Germany)but also the first company worldwide to develop adventure games for Java-enabled mobile phones in collaboration with the mobile phone game specialist Elkware (now infospace). Four highly successful games are developed between 2003 and 2004 including an X-Files title licensed from Fox Entertainment Inc.

Right now House of Tales is working on their current Adventure-Title "OVERCLOCKED" which is due for release in Q2 / 2007 under dtp�s Anaconda label.

Today we are here to answer (nearly) all of your questions. So please don�t hesitate to ask.

ich wollte auch mal kurz vorbeischauen. Freut mich, dass ihr hier teilnehmt. Hoffentlich macht die Arbeit an Overclocked noch ordentlich Spa�, denn man merkt einem Produkt doch an, mit wieviel Liebe daran gearbeitet wurde.

Meine Frage an Martin: Was macht bei der Entwicklung besonders viel Spa� und was schiebst du vor dir her?

Was am meisten Spa� macht? Definitiv immer der Moment, an dem man die Sprachaufnahmen zur�ckspielt und ein fertiges Spiel hat. Der Weg da hin kann lang und sein und hart. Gro� vor sich herschieben kann man in aller Regel kaum etwas -- aber es gibt schon eine Reihe von Arbeiten, die unendlich viel Geduld erfordern und letztlich erst sp�t etwas hermachen; die macht man dann nat�rlich eher mal nicht so gerne.

Du entwickelst ja selbst, Du wirst das kennen. ;-)

I've enjoyed playing The Moment of Silence a lot, and have seen a small preview of Overclocked at the GC in Leipzig in August. Looking forward to it!
I must confess I have bought, but not played, Mystery of the Druids.

the Moment of Silence hat mir ganz gut gefallen, aber die Steuerung war doch teilweise etwas hakelig und die Laufwege manchmal recht lang. Wird Overlocked besser zu steuern sein?
