this is what we need - more sci-fi, less fantasy! Will this be an adventure game where you move through the world, or like Myst where you just see the world? Thanks for coming here!
We are thinking about it Finding a publisher is never an easiest task!Originally Posted by a-side
By the way, our game The Star Heritage was already published in Germany.
More like Myst - first-person view, but with panoramic locations. Basically Mac - he's the protagonist - can look around (and even up and down) in each location.Originally Posted by uk_john
Hello!
We are Russian video game developers from Step Creative Group and we are happy to meet you here. You can ask us whatever you want: about company, projects, game development and Russia
About us:
This year Step CG celebrated its 11th anniversary. Our first game was published in 1995 a text adventure Star Heritage (in Russian Zviozdnoe Nasledie) for Spectrum ZX platform. This game was quite unusual and extremely popular in the countries of the former USSR. But that was our one and only Spectrum project because IBM PC has already conquered Russian market.
Today Step CG is an independent developer of computer games on PC platform. Our favorite genre is adventures, but we also try to use cross-genre features. We already have five finished games in our portfolio:
3D tactical arcade Deactivation (Russian Federation, Germany, Poland)
2D animated adventure for family market Alice's Journey (based on Kir Bulytchev's novel; Russian Federation)
Another two 2D animated adventure games Evenings on a Farm near Dikanka and its sequel Evenings on a Farm near Dikanka II: St. John's Eve based on works of famous Russian-Ukrainian writer Nikolai Gogol, and also on Slavic folklore (Russian Federation)
And, of course, first-person sci-fi adventure game Star Heritage 1: The Black Cobra (Russian Federation, Germany)
We have another sci-fi adventure game in development now The Island: The Earthling, based on the well-known novel Inhabited Island (also known as Prisoners of Power) by Strugatsky brothers.
You can also read about us and our games on the official web-site www.stepgames.com. So if you want to be up on the news of one of actively game-developing companies in Russia, WELCOME!
