We recognize that for security some members want their accounts temporarily closed. In effect we're calling this a vacation. We decided to make an official policy to address these requests.
1. You should be at least a 3 month RGC Member.
2. You must send a PM to a staff member (best if they're online) requesting the ban. Do not make a thread or post.
3. Include the vacation period you want. Here are the options:
1 week
2 weeks
3 weeks
1 month
2 months
3 months
4. Vacation will be implemented immediately once staff reads request. Do not say "Tomorrow can you put me on Vacation". We will not delay any requests.
5. Now this is very very important. We will NOT unban the account early. If you request a month be damn sure you want your account closed for a month.
6. We will not place accounts onto Vacation status longer than 3 months. That's the limit for this.
We will in effect ban your account for the requested vacation period with the reason "Vacation". So other memebrs can know it's a self-imposed ban.
Before requesting the vacation members should set their away message too in their profile description on the client.
