    Does your firewall allows Warcraft 3?

    Might be the issue.

    Try reinstalling it too.

    Maybe you dont have all your ports open to warcraft III.
    Maybe try http://www.portforward.com to unlock your ports.

    Also try to go to your router homepage which some be your IP address in search bar. For example mine is 192.168.0.1 .

    To go to your router control panel simply write your IP in the adress bar.

    Easiest way to get your IP if you dont know it is
    to:

    - Click Start, then Run, type in cmd and press enter.

    - At the command prompt type ipconfig, then press enter.

    - Note down your ip, open Internet Explorer and then type it into Address bar.

    - If you are confronted with Login, it should be your service providers, if you already know it thats good, if you dont then either ring your service provider.
    If you have not touched this it should be at default.

    e.g. for sky as your service provider it would be.

    Username: Admin
    Password: sky

    No, the easiest way is to go to www.whatismyip.com xD

    And there is usually no password unless you applied one yourself.

    Standard Login info:

    Username: admin
    No password

    Actually whatismyipaddress only tells u ur virtual IP, is not very useful. so my way it still better :P and not so much effort.

    Also some routers are set up like that, i know sky is Admin and sky maybe some others are same.

    But yes sometimes no password but for router the usually have passwords.

    You guys have no idea what you are talking about isn't it? Virtual ip's?? router configs. Damn wtf guys

    as i said

    1. first check if line quality is good:
    http://www.pingtest.net/

    2. restart your modem and router

    3. turn of the firewall in your pc.

    4. try to reset your winsock
    http://windowsxp.mvps.org/winsock.htm

    and for infector and isolegacy please read this: http://www.vicomsoft.com/glossary/addresses.html .

    Public ip = www.whatismyip.com
    Private ip = start, run, cmd, enter, ipconfig, enter, and there you can see your ip-adress.

    The default gateway is your connection to your router so if you want to change something in your router, go to internet explorer and enter the default gateway (most of the time 192.168.0.1 or 172.16.0.1).

    As you know i already stated that infector was talking about public IP. and i already told to go start run ect. so dont know why your re-stating this.

    And no its not his line quality thats making him disconnect. from past experience. So your whole blabber was worth nothing trying to make us look stupid and re-state comments already made

    "Actually whatismyipaddress only tells u ur virtual IP"

    there is a difference between virtual and public..... There is nothing virtual about that ip

    And i did not googled it xD U study ict for 4 years now -.-' i have Cisco Certificates, Citrix Certificates and Microsoft Certificates so yes I know a bit about computers.

    And it is possible that it is the line quality. The reason i say that is because a connectors can be damaged or there is maybe a new microwave installed that is next to a network cable.

    "- At the command prompt type ipconfig, then press enter.

    that is your ip. not the ip of the router. the ip of the router is the default gateway

    Well, just from the top of my head. Some programs cause you to get disconnected from some host bots at start game.

    Some customkey programs, Maphack Programs, Banlist etc.

    So turn of your maphack, maybe that will work hehe :P

    Maybe it isn't friendly but it is the truth srry but the internet gateway ip is the ip to access the router settings because the website runs on the router.

    If you enter your own ip you will see your own website (if you host any) and otherwise you will get a time-out or something like that.

    Example:

    Router = 192.168.0.1
    PC = 192.168.0.200
    PC2 = 192.168.0.100
    Printer = 192.168.50

    So to change the settings in the router you need to go to the browser and go the website http://192.168.0.1/

    understand?
