I am in a predicament.

My Frost Death Knight can't pick her weapon(yes as you see, i'm literal).
Should I go for dual wield spec and equip mace/sword or sword/sword.
Or should I go for a 2-handed blade??
Any ideas??

If you keep her frost i think better is one two-hand sword.

Frost DK = dual wield , it doesn't really matter if its mace or sword , well if you are an orc you should go for axes because you get the racial bonus .

Unfortunately i just noticed this section of the forum exists,and i apologise for replying so late.But the question u've put out remains through out time since dks(death knights) were implemented in wow at wotlk (wrath of the lich king) expansion.What spec should a dk go as frost ,2weilding of 2hander.To answer that question u fist need to clarify which section of the game u refer to,pve or pvp? I'm gonna answer u on both,and if i remember correctly the question was made at the beginning of the Cataclysm expansion ,end of season 1 in arena.

PvE:If u pve as frost then u need to go dual wielding spec.Its the best way to maximize ur dps cause of the increased chance on Killing Machine procs since its doubled cause u are using 2 weapons.The bad thing is that its the beginning of an expansion and this means gear stats are rly low.So u will have to Stack up a lot of hit rating since dual wield makes u miss a lot.By doing that u will lose all the bonus from gemming and forging Mastery which is a must for Frost specs.So my opinion is that if u wanna pve as a dk (dps spec) go 2hander unholy and stuck up full haste for faster rune regeneration.But if u insist on frost here is a gd spec to go.frost 2wield .Make sure u runeforge ur weapons (One Razorice and one Fallen Crusader).If u aint an orc (axes) or a human race(mace/sword ) it doesnt matter what kind of weapons u use,so just go for the best good looking ones so u can show off a bit

PvP:Finally after 4 long seasons in wotlk u can go frost spec in arena (i dont count bgs (battlegrounds) as serious pvp) and actually go something good with it.Especially if u go 3v3 with paladin and warrior (sick set up).

The only build that is viable in arena as frost is with a 2 handed weapon.As always dks have the same problem in every arena season.They get kitted a lot!!!So u cant go dual wielding cause in order to do descent dmg u must sit on ur target for some time (which u dont have in arena).So what u wanna do is get a good 2hander with huge max dmg and just dump ur obliterates and frost strikes in the few seconds u have when u reach ur target.Plus with the 2 hander u got way less chance to miss(missing in pvp is a reason to suicide).So u go like that,stack up ressilince and mastery and runeforge ur weapon with rune of the Fallen Crusader.2handed spec is also more fun than dual wield cause of the large amounts of dmg u see on ur screen,in season 1 of cataclysm i have actually critted obliterate on a druid for 75k in some bg and 2 shoted him(funfun).Here is the spec u should go as frost in pvp :pvp frost 2h

I quit liek 6 months ago,after 6 and a half years nonstoping braincellburning gaming.I gave wow a last chance hoping that cataclysm would be a bit more liek the 70ies but it just sucked so i called it a day and quit.But i feel liek a junkie
I miss it,i;m thinking bout renewing but i gotta be brave and stay clean!!!!

If you want to PvP go unholy...Dk does insane dmg in PvP in unholy..if PvE go frost for dps...Dual axes are the best in dps...and the talents on frost have specialisation on dual wield so :P:P:Penjoy
