    Default SAFELOW, SAFEHIGH & LEAGUE XP Limit.

    Hello DIVINE Players. I would like to inform you the minimum XP to enter into for every our bot.

    DIV Games with "SAFELOW" in name is from 0 to 1000 XP.
    DIV Games with "SAFEHIGH" in name is from 1000 to 3000 XP.
    DIV Games with "LEAGUE" in name is from 3000 to xxx XP.

    From our DATABASE we see that we have:
    500 Daily Active Players for DIV LEAGUE Games.
    2000 Daily Active Player for DIV SAFEHIGH Games.
    Over 5.000 Daily Active Players for DIV SAFELOW Games.

    The 1000/3000 is pretty much random but i am thinking to make the level userbased.
    i.e LEAGUE Players are always Top 500.
    SAFEHIGH Players are always Top 2000(2500).

    Do you get my idea? Makes this sense?

    well i don't know how this 500 looks like with exp... but imo it's not a good idea, the way with exp is good, just need to get more players which used to play on div.

    It can be good for now, but in a half a year a new person will need an immense ammount of exp to play league.
    Perhaps this wont be too hard if a percentage of the players can play league?

    I have another idea - set the Game exp borders be a %of the average EXP.


    Lets say that the average EXP in the league for all players who have at least 200 exp (so the 0 exp players are left out of the calculation):

    For the example Lets say that the current database has :
    9000 players with exp 200 and above.
    Average EXP 1500

    And make the borders:
    Safelow: 0 - 100% of average (so it is at 0 - 1500 exp according to the current exp)
    Safehigh: 70% - 230% of average: (so it is at 1000 - 3500 exp according to the current exp)
    League: 200% of average. (3000+ exp for league)

    Of course only you know what the current average is, so these percentage will probably be different...

    This way if the average exp of the league gets higher, so will rise the criteria for entering League.

    And this AVERAGE exp should be calculated only 1 time per day (or mostly 1 time per hour!
    The bots will check in the DB what is the last time when the AVERAGE exp was calculated, and if 24 hours (or 60 minutes) have passed, the bot who makes the check will calculate the new Average EXP and enter it in the DB, together with the current time)

    But what will happen if 100 of the top 500 players don't play? This means that only 400 players will play league... Or even less.
    And at some later point it will be quite heavy for new players to be able to enter league...


    Or make it the other way - if 10000 players have more than 200 exp (out of 16000 players)
    the first 55% can play safelow together with the noobs that have less than 200 exp ( from rank 10000 to 4500)
    from 50% to 95% can play safehigh (from rank 5000 to 500)
    From 90% to 100% can play League.(from rank 1000 to 1)

    And if 20000 players have more than 200 exp, than League will be played form the top 2000 players.

    Algorithm:
    Each bot checks at game creation if 24 hours have passes since the last update of the rank requirements, and create new ranks if they have passed.
    Look up first player who has more than 199 exp
    Check rank of that player
    Calculate the 50%, 45%, 10% and 5% according to the number of that rank.

    That is if you include all of the noobs with 0 exp... I proposed players with 200+ exp. The reason for it is that many of the 0 exp players have played only 1 or 2 games, and don't intend to play DIV anymore...
    200 exp players are mostly the ones who think/want to play DIV regularly and I think is more accurate to include only them in the calculations I proposed above...

    Anyway I was just giving some ideas, but if you like some of them you can just adjust the % to be corresponding to the total number of players including the 0 exp noobs.

    atm the bots are autoadjusting to 500 active league players and 2000 active safehigh players

    And what is "active player"
    Someone who has played a game in the last 28/30 days?

    I noticed that 3-4 of the top exp players have disappeared form the ranks.
    If someone has not played for the required period of time he is considered inactive, and removed from the ladder of DIV?
    Are his stats deleted, or just marked "inactive", and restored after he joins a game?

    And so only the first 500 ranked players can join DIV?

    active player is atm played within last 14 days
    inactive players are not used for ranking or for exp limit calculation

    inactive players can ofc join any game and set active after game

    suggest : after 00 h div-league 1500 or + or less.. couse lot of (league) players are pretty off :-P no games

    bots will host playall games when there is low activity

    Just do the following any time you want, but maybe at least once a day:

    Summarize all the players that played div-games the past week
    put the xp-borders so you have:
    70% of those in div-low
    20% of those in div-high
    10% of those in div-league

    the 70% seems to be harsh but:
    this is the way it is right now!
    u have to take into account that ppl with much higher xp tend to play much more games! (:

    if u automate this u will always have enough ppl to fill the games, even if a xp-range dies out

    right now it sometimes takes a while to fill games in div-high (not even talking about div-league ^^)

    so you might wanna take different xp-ranges than used right now with the fixed xp-spots

    maybe:

    60% of those in div-low
    25% of those in div-high
    15% of those in div-league

    making it like this also gains some happiness for the ppl in the higher classes because they know, they are in between the top x% and not just above some random number (:
