Default SF2: Turning a location upside down

This is a general view of the "cruise ship" location, where Nina wants to take a vacation.

This screen shows the lobby of the ship on a bright sunny day.

But Ninas journey will take an unpleasant turn. You see a preview of the cutscene above.

Later Nina will find herself in the devastated capsized cruise ship. Now the atmosphere of this screen has changed a lot compared to the nice lobby we experienced before.

What? A movie about a turned capsized ship? I think those Hollywood filmmakers have stolen our idea!!!

No kidding! We saw it and it was a great inspiration.

The wave hitting the boat anim looks amazing! How long did it take to put something like that together and what software was involved? Looks to be particles, waves, clouds... the whole kitchen sink!

    Thank you.

This cutscene was done by an external team: MBA Studios. They used 3D Studio Max and some PlugIns (sorry - I don't know exactly which ones).
The original cutscene ist much longer and has an additional part before this scene above. They worked 2-3 weeks on this scenes.
