Hello again, Steve!
I think anyone here would like to know whats happening now with the "Juniper Crescent" game? Is it again in production?

Hello.
It's not in production, yet. Sorry.
However, I have been exploring ways of trying to make the game in a less resource intensive way. Part of that has been modelling Scout in 3D to use as a way of creating the 2D sprites. The render is looking good, but the model and animation is well short of the mark at the moment, so it's some way to go. I may need to call on an expert at some point.

Oh, I was full of hopes... :'(
So are you working on anything new now (except So Blonde)?
One thing I did consider doing was to make the game full 3D, but I think that would take something away from the rich, hand-drawn style I really want to go for.

Great to hear! I love funny hand-drawn style!

Sorry, our posts crossed.Originally Posted by Alex ASP
So Blonde is finished as far as my work on it goes, but I am working on another project at the moment. Writing dialogue is my current task on that project. Then in January I'm doing some work on another project that will take me at least a couple of months.
Both games are adventures, by the way.
Good, that's at least one of you, then.Originally Posted by Rowie

So the question. You would prefer to make JC in 3D but making SB in 2.5D but think 2D is better? :-)
I've also got a few other ideas in various stages of development.
Maybe I'll post a teaser later....

Let me clarify, I thought of doing JC in 3D as a way of reducing costs, possibly, but when I thought about it further I realised that it could only ever be 2D.Originally Posted by Alex ASP

Humorous ones? (I'm afaraid you won't tell more, would you?)Both games are adventures, by the way.
I certainly can't go into details, but they both have at least some humour in them.

Are they at least fun to work at? :-)
(We'll see two more interesting games, wow!)
Lots of fun. Hard work, but fun.

Please Steve .... 2D. Take your time, sit down, take a deep breath and ............... 2D.
As for hard work, you were working for "The Witcher" game? Did you liked it? (Its heavy on text).
My breath is so deep, now, I've got to let it out soon.Originally Posted by Gelert

I was involved as script editor, which was a lot of hard work because, as you say, it's very heavy on the text and dialogue. I would like to have been more involved, but it clashed with my work on So Blonde earlier in the project.Originally Posted by Alex ASP
