    Default The Shivah story

I' ve recently read review of The Shivah, and I was really surprised by the theme of the story. Very nice surprised. It's seems like the game trying to tell something important (like some movies, books) not only give simple fun. I hope this impression is true. It's rather rare approach in gaming industry but I think that especially adventure market (I think that older players are important part of adventure game players) is a good place to start a change.
I'm curious what was the motive, which makes that you create such a game?

Will Blackwell Legacy be also rather serious one regarding story side?

    Default Re: The Shivah story

    Hi Davero. Good question.

I suppose the one thing that inspired me to create a "jewish" game was the fact that I was living and travelling in asia for a year. For the first time in my life, I was the only jew around. Not only that, but many people I met didn't even know what Jewish was. It was a weird experience for me. So, upon my return to New York, I felt inspired to write about being jewish. I'm not very religious per se, but the "new york jewish experience" is one I am familiar with.
